Disney's Mulan LIVE!!
At first I was skeptical, but after reading the review in the Star Tribune of the Minneapolis Children’s Theatre Company production, I need to see it! MULAN is easily a top 5 animated feature favorite (the music, comedy, characters, feminism, and fireworks cannot be beat) of mine and it’s been way too long since I’ve seen it. Though more often than not, when you put an animated movie on the stage it turns into a catastrophe akin to that of the Hindenburg, only with more glitter and morals. So- who knows? All I know is that now I want some mushu pork for lunch today.

Look at that Punim!
Today’s punim has had some issues with the law, but when you mix that sense of daner with impish good looks and impeccable comedic timing, the result is nothing short of perfection. He got his start doing stand up and then acting as a mischevious little booger on the Disney channel (just like Lee Thompson Young!!) and now makes action-packed movies and dates hot Oscar-nominees:

Gosh, I tell you what: I had a huge crush on him after seeing “The Battle of Shaker Heights” and his 5-second cameo in “Charlie’s Angels”. Oh my gosh, and “Holes”!!! Shia carried movies (and an entire series, “Even Stevens”) as a young actor…
…which is why I can’t wait to see what he’s got going on in his next movie, “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps”. The movie also stars his super gorgeous and talented girlfriend, Carey Mulligan, and an all-star cast. WHEW!

There has not been a punim entry in a while, but I think this one will make up for all that lost time. This particular punim appeared on the Disney TV show “The Famous Jett Jackson” from 1998-2001. He is adorable and apparently was also in the movie “Friday Night Lights”…. Currently you can find him in the series “Flash Forward”….
IT’S LEE THOMPSON YOUNG!!
Look at that very punim smile!! Plus, my only memories of him are of this super cool, down to earth, teen action movie star who is really, just a normal kid!!!! They don’t make ‘em like that any more.
Also, apparently they made a Jett Jackson movie? Who remembers this time?! When we watched Disney constantly because they came out with copious amounts of bad teen tv movies that were awesome guilty pleasures?! The Jennie Project, anyone? ANYONE??
